High Security Cable Seal ISO 17712 with 3,5 mm of cable diameter is the best trade-off between security degree and versatility of usage.

It is an adjustable seal and can be used in many different conditions, in particular in any application to protect cargos during shipping and intermodal freight.

CABLESEAL 3,5×250mm has the body completely made in anodised aluminium (*) and a steel cable comes out of it.

Once inserted the opposite end of the cable into the hole, and pulled it to the maximum possible extent, there will be no way to open the seal unless by breaking it with good shears.

This is a High Security Seal compliant with requirements impose by ISO 17712:2013.

(*) Anodising is a non- spontaneous electrochemical process by which a protective oxide layer forms on the surface of the treated metal and protects it from corrosion.

This model can be used with different sealing wires and custom strings.

Lead seals can be closed by using appropriate pliers that can also have their moulds customized with logo or writings. These are the cheapest seals on the market. However, their security level is very low.

We always suggest our customers to use at least a security seal with progressive numbering.

RFID TAMPER EVIDENCE e- SEAL is the step ahead in front of already existing RFID seals.
RFID NEPTUNE SEAL TAMPER EVIDENCE main features:
– Certified in compliance with requirements as per ISO 17712:2013 High Security Seal
– It can be read quickly and accurately by static gateway reading systems or by handheld devices assigned to check point personnel.
– Any tampering event occurring with the e-seal is stored in its chip memory. This activates the – TAG TAMPER ALARM, which provides the status of the seal at readings (tampered/not tampered, i.e. breached or intact seal);
– In the event of tampering, the e-seal irreversibly changes its electronic status. The TAMPER status is automatically flagged up when reading is taken.
– The RFID chip can also store additional information. The chip can be written by  using the RFID reader/writer device. Further information added and the chip itself can be password protected.

The key pieces of information that the seal provides are:
– RFID e-seal serial number
– Date and time when the reading is taken
– Number of readings taken for each RFID e-seal
– Registration sequence in the event of having two or more RFID e-seals on two containers on the same trailer
– Status of the  seal (TAMPERED / NOT TAMPERED)

The latest products manufactured in house combine the traditional methods of mechanical tamper prevention with the most modern usage of RFID technology.

LEGHORN is proud to present their first single use active Rfid seal.

MENTORSEAL is an innovative seal that combines the high security of an ISO 17712:2013 approved seal, with the technical features of an active device that uses Radio frequency to automatically identify the container and/or vehicle.

The primary security  function of the seal is integrated with the possibility of improving the logistics  flow by keeping track of the container.

MENTORSEAL can be read with  static gateway readers of handheld portable readers, that are equipped with the relevant reading module of the seal- operating on a double frequency 433 MHz -2.45 GHz.

Thanks to the presence of active RFID , the seal can communicate over significant distances (e.g. over 15m).

The seal is characterised by it’s own unique Identification code. Furthermore as it is a single use seal its pricing is extremely competitive.

Some of the main innovative features of  MENTORSEAL are:

• Guaranteeduniquenessof the coupling betweenthe head of theseal with thepinand barrel
• Timestamp of when the seal is “born” stored in the memory;
• Timestamp of when the seal is closed stored in the memory;
• Timestamp of  the opening /or tampering of the seal stored in the memory.

DATA COMMUNICAITON: Any data received from MENTORSEAL using a hand held reader can be downloaded to a server whilst offline or alternatively online using WiFi or GPRS; If working with a fixed reader it can be connected to a PC via an Erthernet communication interface.

TRACEABILITY:  MENTORSEAL can store in its memory 15 Log  and the container ID.
This allows the user the trace the logistics flow of the container using the information received.

READING DISTANCE: MENTORSEAL  can be read at a distance of over 15 m by way of  “Contact reading” or “in line of sight”, allowing the reading to be taken whilst the container is in transit and speed up the security operations.
