For over 45 years, LeghornGroup has been committed to ensuring food integrity and beverage safety in airline catering.
Airline catering seals are divided into:
- Padlock-type seals, including those with metal wire
- Plastic seals, both padlock-style and adjustable
- Adhesive label with sequential numbering
Typically, all airline catering security seals are numbered and may also feature a barcode. The seal number must match the documentation accompanying the trolley. If it does not, tampering may have occurred. Catering seals are designed to ensure food integrity throughout the entire supply chain, from production to onboard distribution.
Airline catering security seals are designed to show visible damage if someone attempts to tamper with them. This allows those responsible for food and beverage services to immediately halt distribution, protecting passengers from potential contamination.
